Writing poetry in the 21st century
Is like smashing your face against a wall
Living right in the 21st century
Is just like not living at all

Thirty years ago everything was possible
And the future was but a promise
The future is here, the time is now
And now there’s nothing you can do about it

Everybody is laughing’
Cause it’s a brave new world
But nobody is having fun’
Cause it’s a grave this world
